A Fox and Hounds Stay and Gaze weekend

We're very excited to be running a night walk and stargazing evening as part of a wider Dark Skies weekend hosted by The Fox and Hounds in Ainsthorpe.

It consists of:

Two nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

Access to specialist equipment, such as infrared torches, specialist binoculars, star maps and telescopes.

Friday 9th February

Three-course meal followed by an expert astronomical speaker, guided stargazing outside, and finished off with a debrief and warm fireside drinks back in the pub.

Saturday 10th February

Three-course meal (no alcohol) followed by a guided, outdoor experience with Alison from Adventures For The Soul and two guest walk leaders. You'll be taken on a three mile night walk that'll leave your senses zinging. Travelling to the top of the moor you’ll connect with the cosmos through some awe-inspiring stargazing and feel AMAZING in the process. Then you'll return to The Fox & Hounds for hot drinks or your favourite tipple - and maybe a fun stargazing quiz - to round off your weekend.

PLEASE NOTE: The walk length is around three miles on relatively well defined paths, but there will be hills and rough ground. We'll also be walking in the dark as well (with a torch!). We will ask for an event form to be completed and emailed back to Alison prior to participation.
